We are thrilled to announce the launch of EMPOWER, a new scholarship program designed to offer motivated high school juniors in our community an opportunity to pursue a career in nursing. This transformative initiative was generously supported by anonymous donors who sought to eliminate the financial hardships that can hinder college and career goals.

This unique program identifies students in their junior year of high school and provides mentorship and support as they complete high school and enter college. The comprehensive curriculum, along with the guidance and support of our nursing leadership, will ensure a seamless transition from high school to a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

The EMPOWER program is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. The generosity of our donors has made this life-changing program possible. Their philanthropic spirit will have a lasting impact on our students and the health care field, and we are excited to witness the positive changes ahead.

We look forward to identifying our first EMPOWER students in early 2025.

Key areas of focus for the EMPOWER program include:

Educational  Excellence: Supporting students in their academic success

Mentorship: Providing encouragement and guidance from seasoned professionals

Professional Preparation: Equipping students with essential skills and knowledge

Opportunity: Creating pathways for students from disadvantaged backgrounds

Well-being: Fostering physical, emotional, and mental health

Empowerment: Helping students take charge of their future

Resources: Offering access to financial aid, tutoring, and other educational support
