Last year, we shared news of a generous gift to our Lymphedema Program from an anonymous donor. Through the support of philanthropy, we have added an innovative new technology to the Lymphedema Program at Princeton Rehabilitation. The program’s therapists are now using LymphaTech, a 3D imaging software system that, in 60 seconds, captures precise limb circumference measurements to ensure the proper fit of custom or over-the-counter garments. Proper garment fit is critical to ensure the correct level of compression.

For patients who have been diagnosed with lymphedema — a swelling caused by an abnormal accumulation of lymph fluids in the body’s soft tissues — compression garments can help limit fluid buildup and move the fluid to an area that is draining well.

This transformative gift has enabled Penn Medicine Princeton Health to assume a leadership role in lymphedema treatment in the Central New Jersey area. We are thankful that this visionary donor chose to partner with us to enhance the care that we are able to offer.

Our therapists have all received their certification from a Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) approved program. If you are in need of services, please call 609.655.4586.
