Penn Medicine Princeton Health believes that exceptional patient care is delivered by a highly skilled and empowered nursing workforce. This was never more apparent than during the COVID-19 pandemic, when our nurses were called upon day after day to care for critically ill patients and their families. This is one of the reasons that support for nursing education was the perfect fit as the beneficiary of our 2021 golf outing.

In June, Princeton Health held its 25th Golf Outing at Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson, NJ, raising more than $360,000 in support of nursing excellence at Princeton Health. It was a perfect way to celebrate the start of summer while enjoying a beautiful day outdoors with our community partners.

The funds raised through the Golf Outing and community members will ensure that vital resources remain available in perpetuity to provide the training and education; research opportunities and career advancement for our nurses.

Our Institute for Nursing Excellence will be a fully integrated center which will provide the infrastructure and support our nurses need to advance their education, and advance research to improve patient outcomes. The Institute will continuously evaluate training and educational needs, leverage our existing resources and programs, create new programs, and keep a pulse on growth areas of the hospital. The goal is to provide nurses a single, convenient place where they can access the coordinated support needed to advance clinical skills, pursue their career goals, and advance innovation ideas and research.

Serving as Title sponsors of this year’s Golf Outing were Compass One Healthcare and its related companies, Morrison Healthcare and Crothall Healthcare, as well as the Medical Staff of Princeton Health and Princeton Anesthesia Services, PC. Other top sponsors included Edward E. On the heels of a year filled with unprecedented change and uncertainty, we applaud the continued generosity and extraordinary commitment of our supporters.

The Foundation thanks everyone who supported this important fundraising event, including the staff at Metedeconk National Golf Club and the members of the 2021 Golf Outing Committee and its co-chairs, James Demetriades, Princeton Health CEO, and Fred Price of Piper Sandler, member of the Princeton Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors.
