Your Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, you’ll attend a variety of one-on-one meetings with members of our team. You’ll have an opportunity to meet our bariatric surgeons, our dietitian, our insurance and billing specialist.
What You Can Expect
You’ll meet with one of our bariatric surgeons. Together, the two of you will discuss your medical history, your surgical options, and any questions you have about the surgery. Your surgeon will also review your pre-surgical preparatory plan.
Our licensed dietitian will review your dietary and exercise history. This is often required by your insurance company. She’ll also introduce you to techniques that you can put into practice right away in preparation for your surgery.

- Any questions you have about weight loss surgery or the process
Your Preoperative Evaluation
Preoperative testing and evaluation is essential for obtaining the best and safest surgical weight loss results.
Your personal doctor and other medical specialist will be asked to provide “medical clearance” prior to your surgery. Additional details will be provided during your initial consultation.
After the results of your tests have been reviewed, you’ll be contacted with a date for your surgery. We’ll also provide you with additional guidelines to help you prepare for surgery.
