Hospitalists are physicians who dedicate their career to providing high quality care to patients who are in the hospital, from admission to discharge. Princeton Medicine Physicians hospitalists are board certified in internal medicine.
Princeton Medicine Physicians's team of hospitalists keep in close communication with your physicians in the community, implement an optimal course of treatment during your stay, and carefully review your medications during admission and at discharge.
- Hospitalists only care for patients who are hospitalized
- A member of the hospitalist team is here to respond to you and your family
- Hospitalists are teachers of inpatient clinical skills to medical students and residents, so they are knowledgeable about the latest advances in medicine and technology.
- Since hospitalists do not have an outpatient practice, you need to make an appointment to see your physician in the community after your discharge. If you do not have a primary care physician, the hospital staff will help you find one.
