Paying Tribute to Honorary Medical Staff

A Message from Donald F. Denny, MD, Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs, Princeton HealthCare System.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I announce the Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) Honorary Medical Staff plaque has been installed and is up for display in the University Medical Center of Princeton (UMCP). This tribute acknowledges those retired members of the PHCS Medical Staff who qualified to join the Honorary Medical Staff.

The Honorary Medical Staff consists of PHCS physicians, oral surgeons, dentists, and podiatrists who retire in good standing after twenty years of continuous membership on the PHCS Medical Staff or who have otherwise distinguished themselves by their service to PHCS. This staff category requires nomination by letters from two Attending Staff members to the Credentials Committee.

This beautiful glass recognition panel consists of more than 140 names. The Honorary Medical Staff display coordinates with the colorful and distinctive design characteristics of the donor plaques and the sophistication of the hospital's design.

On behalf of the PHCS Medical Staff, I would like to thank the PHCS Foundation for its generosity in providing the financial support for this display.

The next time you are at the UMCP campus, I encourage you to come and visit this unique and artistic display representing the passion and dedicated service the honorary medical staff members provided to our community. The display is located along the main corridor of the Education Building between the Historic Donors & Design for HealingDonor Wall and the Medical Library.

Thank you for your continued support.
