Lymphedema management helps decrease abnormal accumulation of protein-rich fluids from patients’ arms, legs, neck, and genital area. A highly skilled certified lymphedema therapist, with experience in LeDuc and CDT/Vodder methods, provides one-on-one treatment individualized to each patient’s needs, including manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging, education and exercises to increase lymph flow and decrease edema.
Pelvic Wellness & Sexual Health
Pelvic health physical therapy is a subspecialty of physical therapy that address the function of the abdominal pelvic region. The muscles, joints, connective tissue of the abdominal pelvic region assist with bladder, bowel and sexual function. Both male and female patients may experience bladder, bowel or sexual dysfunction during or after their cancer treatments, such as urinary leakage or retention, constipation, pelvic or low back pain, and limited ability with sexual function. Pelvic health physical therapists are movement specialists. They will perform a comprehensive evaluation focusing on posture, breathing, spinal motion, core stability as well as the muscles of the pelvic floor. Following the consultation, a treatment plan will be recommended to help bowel, bladder and sexual organs to function optimally. For more information on services, call 609.853.6300.
