Princeton Medicine Network Welcomes Three Specialists

Three board certified specialists recently joined Princeton Medicine, the primary and specialty care physician network of Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS).

David B. Cohn, MD, board certified in pulmonary disease, sleep medicine, critical care medicine and internal medicine, is the new Medical Director of the University Medical Center of Princeton (UMCP) Sleep Center. He also sees patients at two Princeton Medicine offices:

Dr. Cohn treats individuals with a wide range of sleep and snoring disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, circadian rhythm disorders and insomnia. Dr. Cohn also treats patients with pulmonary conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, COPD, emphysema, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, lung nodules, pneumonia, and respiratory infections.

A Cornell University graduate, Dr. Cohn earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, and completed his internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, and a fellowship at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, R.I.

Michael Piscopiello, MD, board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, also sees patients in two Princeton Medicine offices:

Dr. Piscopiello treats individuals with cardiovascular diseases and related conditions such as angina, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension and syncope. Dr. Piscopiello's areas of interest also include cardiac rehabilitation, geriatric cardiology, heart disease among women, non-invasive procedures, nuclear cardiology, screenings and stress tests.

Dr. Piscopiello graduated from Rutgers University and earned his medical degree at St. George's University in Grenada. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship at St. Michael's Medical Center, Newark.

Sheetal Shrimanker, MD, board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology, sees patients at 5 Plainsboro Road, Suite 300, Plainsboro.

Dr. Shrimanker treats individuals with various blood diseases, including anemia and iron deficiency, sickle cell anemia, platelet disorders and clotting disorders. She also provides care for patients with a wide array of cancers, including breast, head and neck, lung and gastrointestinal cancers and blood conditions such as Hodgkin's disease, leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Shrimanker earned her medical degree at New York Medical College and completed her internship and residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, and a fellowship at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Her internship, residency and fellowship were completed through the former University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), now Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
