More than 225 individuals, including runners aged 11 to 80, participated in the 2nd annual Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) 5 Mile Race/1 Mile Fun Walk held today on the grounds of Educational Testing Service.

The event was presented by PHCS Community Education & Outreach and Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center.

The day's activities began with a breakfast and reunion for patients of the Jim Craigie Center for Joint Replacement at University Medical Center of Princeton (UMCP). Many of the patients also participated in the Fun Walk.

In the 5 Mile Race, Stephen Mennitt of North Brunswick (pictured above, bottom row center) and Erika Meling of New Brunswick (above, bottom right) were the top male and female finishers.

Mennitt, 26, posted a time of 27:20.16, a pace of approximately 5:28 per mile. Atilla Sabahoglu, 37, of Somerset-the top finisher in last year's event-placed second among the men this year and James Cao, 19, of Princeton took third. All three men were the top finishers in their respective age groups.

Meling, 26, finished in 32:09.61, for a pace of 6:25 per mile. The second and third female finishers were Susan Kinsella, 51, of Millington and 14-year-old Emily Moini of Princeton. All three were the top finishers in their age groups as well.
