PHCS Delivers Its Bounty to the Plainsboro Food Pantry
Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) wrapped up its annual food drive, Tackle Hunger, by delivering a bounty of non-perishable foods, personal care items and cleaning supplies to the Plainsboro Township Food Pantry. The donations were collected at PHCS locations throughout central New Jersey. Pictured above, from left to right: Food Pantry Clerk Erum Ladak; Joanne Banner, PHCS Human Resources Client Services Manager, who coordinates the annual effort; and Charles Thompson, PHCS Automotive Services, who delivered the goods. Tackle Hunger begins during the holiday season and ends around Martin Luther King Jr. Day to highlight his message of giving back to one's community.

The Plainsboro Food Pantry accepts donations year-round to help serve township families who need assistance. Currently the pantry serves 42 families. Some of the pantry's greatest needs include coffee; condiments such as mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup; cooking oil; kidney beans; canned fruits; canned potatoes; canned carrots; paper products; and shelf-stable milk.
