Learn Lifesaving Fundamentals During PHCS' Free CPR Week

March 24, 2015
PHCS Community Education & Outreach
Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) will offer its annual Free CPR Week in April, providing community members an opportunity to take a Family & Friends CPR course free of charge to help raise awareness of the importance of learning the lifesaving technique.

Sudden cardiac arrest remains a leading cause of death in the United States, but immediate, effective CPR can double or even triple one's chance of survival, according to the American Heart Association. Given that 88 percent of cardiac arrests occur in the home, it's important for everyone to know CPR.

Family & Friends CPR—which also covers how to help someone who is choking—is offered throughout the year, with one curriculum for providing CPR to adults and children and another for CPR on infants (up to 1 year old).

PHCS Community Education & Outreach will provide free classes between April 11 and April 19. See the full schedule below.

Registration is required. Unless otherwise noted, visit www.princetonhcs.org/calendar or call 1-888-897-8979 to register.
