Craig Gronczewski, MD, MBA, is Chief Medical Officer and VP of Medical Affairs for Penn Medicine Princeton Health, with primary responsibility for promoting quality clinical care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. Dr. Gronczewski serves as a liaison between the Medical Staff and the administration and the Princeton Health Board of Trustees.
Dr. Gronczewski oversees the clinical, academic, and administrative activities and promotes clinical quality and patient safety throughout Princeton Health and its divisions, including Princeton Medicine Physicians, Princeton House Behavioral Health, and Princeton Medical Center, a University Hospital Affiliate of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
A graduate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Dr. Gronczewski earned his MD from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) — now known as Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School — and his MBA from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, majoring in both finance and management. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Gronczewski is board certified in emergency medicine.
Formerly a Clinical Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Gronczewski has also served as President of the Medical Staff and Chair of the Emergency Department at Penn Medicine Princeton Health in the past.
Dr. Gronczewski has published several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and over 40 national, local and regional articles.
