Held on Tuesdays & Thursdays on Oct 22, 24, 29, 31, Nov 5 & 7(6 - 8 pm).
$60 per person.
This six-session program will help individuals with osteoporosis or osteopenia (bone density loss) reduce their risk of falls, improve spinal alignment, and protect the spine during daily activities. The program includes an educational and exercise component, and participants must be able to safely and independently get down onto the floor and back up. Specially trained physical therapists will lead exercises intended to improve bone health, posture, strength, and balance.
In addition, this program will also cover the latest on medical management and important dietary/nutirition information for effective management.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A signed participation waiver which can be downloaded here.
- A signed doctors note stating you are clear to participate in an osteoporosis exercise program.
Please bring the signed participation waiver and doctor's note with you to class.
